After more than two years of dating and a year of being engaged, NHL All-Star P.K. Subban and Olympic skier Lindsey Vonn announced their split last December, effectively dissolving one of sports’ most celebrated power couples.
Subban, a defenseman for the New Jersey Devils, and Vonn, whose Olympic medal haul includes one gold and two bronzes, bought a home together in Beverly Hills last year, assuming they would stay together. With that no longer the case, Subban and Vonn promptly put it back on the market, selling the spacious 5,564-square-foot residence for a reported $6.9 million, according to Jack Flemming, who covers the Los Angeles Times’ real estate beat. That’s about $150,000 more than the couple paid for it a year earlier.
Built in the 1950s, the Italian-style villa includes, among other prized amenities, four bedrooms, six baths, a mammoth bedroom suite with two walk-in closets, a sprawling backyard pool, fire pit and accompanying outdoor kitchen along with a three-car garage and an on-site Tesla charger. Set on a half-acre plot in one of the most prestigious neighborhoods in Greater Los Angeles, the luxurious, one-story mansion also contains a home gym, office, a gourmet kitchen with breathtaking marble countertops and a guest house that remains under construction. The property, listed by Beverly Hills-based Hurwitz James Company, had been on the market since February.
A three-time All-Star and 12-year NHL vet, the Toronto-born Subban has tallied five goals and 14 assists this season, but hasn’t seen the ice in over two weeks while recovering from COVID. The 36-year-old Vonn, who previously dated Tiger Woods, retired from competitive skiing in 2019.
